Jordan Henderson picked up another medal on Thursday when he received his MBE for charitable service.

The England international shared a few words with Prince William as he took delivery of his gong at Buckingham Palace.

Henderson was instrumental in the #PlayersTogether initiative during the lockdown, a move where Premier League players donate a portion of their paychecks to NHS Charities Together.
In total, the movement is said to have raised £4 million for health service-related charities.
As a result of his work, he was named the first ‘champion’ of the NHS Charities Together.
Speaking of that honor at the time, Henderson said, “It’s a huge honor for me.
Henderson also met the Duke of Cambridge in May and introduced his teammates to the Prince
‘As part of my involvement with NHS Charities Together, I’ve heard first-hand from NHS staff about the challenges they face and how donations make such a difference to them.
“As the official champion of charity I will do what I can to shed light on the great work NHS charities are doing to support the NHS.”
It was far from the first time Henderson had come face to face with the Duke. In May, Henderson introduced him to fellow Liverpool team-mates ahead of the FA Cup final against Chelsea – a game the Reds won on penalties.
Henderson also attended the Royal Carols on Christmas Eve last Christmas, with the Duchess of Cambridge playing the piano to accompany pop star Tom Walker.
